Models

Models

IBASAM and  BIDASOA are two individual-based models that enable in silico experiments to be conducted on virtual populations of salmon and trout. They explicitly  simulate effects of environmental disturbances (climate change and river fragmentation) at the individual level on the fundamental processes of dispersal, migration, survival and reproduction.

By incorporating these individual effects into each species’ life cycle, they help assess the effects' demographic and genetic consequences for populations.
